What is the SBA?

SBA stands for Small Business Administration, and is a federally funded agency. The agency “Created in 1953, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) continues to help small business owners and entrepreneurs pursue the American dream.”

For those interested in small business ownership, the site has resources on there to plan, launch, manage, and grow your business. So you are probably thinking, Entrepreneurs just figure things out, why do they need help? Of course they figure it out along the way. Anyone who says they know it all is full of shit. But they also can have help, and a slew of resources in one location makes your life just that much easier in a hard uphill climb.

So back to the SBA. For those interested in a new business, it has tools to help you conduct market research and analysis, calculate startup costs, figure out how to write a business plan, and even help you find capital. It can then help you figure out the best location, tax structure, federal tax ID registration, and more.

And the best part of it? It’s a free service if you just go and make an account on the site. Long live the hustle, long live your dreams.
